Remember also : civilians you rescue successfully, count towards 'Hero of the People' achievement, which you unlock after saving 50 civilians (in any way, any mission). You are required to get a few civilians (their number may vary from 1 to 5!) out of the fire, and you have to do it very, very, very quickly! You swing there and hop onto fire truck, triggering the mission. While you progress through the main story, after first few missions you'll be able to see fire icon on your map.
